Burning man attendees began to return to the site on Wednesday to begin the work of cleaning, said to the organizers. The efforts for the annual cleanup process for more long weeks followed by the numerous festivals of this year will be challenging. 

It will be more challenging as the site was covered by torrential rain and the ground in ankle-deep mud. This led some attendees to take the belongings that they had bought along with them to the venue Black Rock City.

 The Burning Man Project on Wednesday night said in a statement that the festival goers who were left in the storm

 “are returning to the event site today through Saturday to dissemble their projects, tear down their camps, and remove their possessions.”
